Getting to Know Aunt Jenny's Beads

Posted by

Aunt Jenny's Beads has been in business since 2005.This business of beads all started because of two lamp work beads: a little red Ladybug and an adorable Bumble bee. It was love at first sight. I've been a crafter since I could walk. However, it was amazing to me how a glass artist could take a rod of glass, a flame, and a few tools and make such fantastically fun little works of art.

Being an artist myself I understand the creativity, but being unfamiliar with the medium of glass, I was in awe and baffled by what to do with the beads that I fell in love with. So, I figured if I couldn't make the beads, I could sell them for others to enjoy as well. That was quite a few years ago....but my passion hasn't tapered, I love every bead I sell just as much today (if not more) as I did when I started.

I'm picky about the collection of items we sell. Even though we specialize in lamp work & glass beads, I'm always searching for unusual and unique beads of all kinds. You won't find everyday beads in our store. There are many wonderful bead stores that sell those. What you'll find here is the ongoing mission to create the largest online collection of novelty & specialty beads all in one place.

Whether you're a beader, crafter, painter, or other style of artist....creating is a wonderful past time. It keeps our hands busy and our minds healthy. Doing craft projects together as a family or a group presents all of us with more opportunities to laugh, smile, and connect with each other (without using electronics!). Busy hands lead to healthier minds, better dispositions, and happier lives. That's what instigated me to make bead kits. All of our kits are original designs. They're created to be simple and easy to make for all ages. Soon, we'll be adding craft boxes to our store for individual purchase or monthly subscription.

So now you know a little bit more about Aunt Jenny's Beads, how we started and where we're going. I hope you join us in our journey of crafting and beading. Please, come by anytime!

Thanks for dropping in,

Jenny
